The more I look around on the web, but also in our cities, the more it's clear that this huge crisis has brought with her a lot of fear and a deep need of finding new solutions. As many "buy-gold-give-back-money" shops have spread around the cities, as flowers in spring, I've noticed that also fashion is doing her part.

Now thanks to my stay in London I think we can start talking about a revolution! Yes, I think that there's a real revolution that is taking place among the quest for the most beautiful and expensive labels!

Put aside the prejudices, stop thinking about a dusty shop that you'll never find without a map and full of old stuffs because this has nothing to do with it! First of all The Merchant is in Ledbury Road and the Londoners know that this is a recent addition to the chic Notthing Hill, secondly the store is so stylish that could compete with all the most fashionable stores! What I've loved the most is also the way in which they call the items..not second hand clothing bt PRE-LOVED clothing! It sound so different! The most thrilling part of shopping here is that you never know what you'll find. One day you can bump into some exceptional product that usually has a super long waiting list, into a rare piece of a limited edition!
And more that this..a percentage of the takings goes to Naked Heart Foundation.
Don't miss this shop, and most of all be proud to give a second life to your clothes this will give you the chance to buy something new without spending other money!

Più mi guardo in giro sul web, ma anche nelle nostre città, più mi è chiaro che questa gigantesca crisi sta portando con se un profondo bisogno di trovare nuove soluzioni. Ho visto spuntare come fiori a primavera una quantità infinita di negozi che comprano oro in cambio di contanti epoi ho iniziato a notare che anche la moda sta facendo la sua parte.
In uno dei miei precedenti post avevo iniziato a introdurvi l'argomento proponendovi due siti: privategriffe.com (che sarà definitivamente operativo e on line il giorno 28 Febbraio 2012) e vestiairedescopines.com. Ora, grazie al mio soggiorno a Londra ho capito che possiamo iniziare a parlare di una vera e propria rivoluzione! Sì, una vera rivoluzione sta prendendo piede worldwide e coinvolge la richiesta e la vendita delle griffe più care e famose del mondo!
Stanno nascendo sempre più consignment boutique che non vedono l'ora di poter vendere per tuo conto abiti, scarpe, gioielli, borse e accessori.. a Londra ovviamente non mi sono lasciata scappare

Mettete da parte i pregiudizi, smettete subito di pensare a qualche negozio polveroso impossibile da trovare e soprattutto pieno di vecchia roba di cui il proprietario aveva una gran voglia di disfarsi perchè The Merchant è completamente un altro universo. Prima di tutto si trova nel bellissimo quartiere di Notthing Hill, precisamente in Ledbury Road e, seconda cosa, The Merchant è un negozio così elegante e chic che potrebbe tranquillamente competere con i flag ship store dei brand più famosi del mondo! Ciò che più mi è piaciuto di questo posto è la sua filosofia, ad esempio tutto ciò che è in vendita non viene definito di seconda mano ma PRE LOVED (precedentemente amato)! Non suona immediatamente tutto più bello e persino romantico??La cosa più elettrizzante è che non sai mai cosa puoi trovare, una volta potresti imbatterti in qualche capo eccezionalmente pregiato e la volta dopo in un'edizione limitata con una lista d'attesa chilometrica!
E se non vi ho dato abbastanza buoni motivi per fidarvi di me allora sappiate che una percentuale degli incassi viene devoluta alla Naked Heart Foundation. Non perdetevi questo negozio e soprattutto siate fieri di poter regalare una seconda vita ai vosti capi soprattutto perchè questo vi darà la possibilità di rifarvi il guardaroba senza investire altro denaro nell'impresa!
