FROM PRE LOVED TO MOST LOVED - LONDON

The more I look around on the web, but also in our cities, the more it's clear that this huge crisis has brought with her a lot of fear and a deep need of finding new solutions. As many "buy-gold-give-back-money" shops have spread around the cities, as flowers in spring, I've noticed that also fashion is doing her part.
In one of my previous post I've started to introduce you this fact dealing with two web sites: privategriffe.com (released on Feb. 28, 2012) and vestiairedescopines.com. Now thanks to my stay in London I  think we can start talking about a revolution! Yes, I think that there's a real revolution that is taking place among the quest for the most beautiful and expensive labels!
Many consignment boutiques can't wait to sell your unwanted clothes, jewels, bags, shoes and accessories on your behalf and in London I've visited one of these: The Merchant. Put aside the prejudices, stop thinking about a dusty shop that you'll never find without a map and full of old stuffs because this has nothing to do with it! First of all The Merchant is in Ledbury Road and the Londoners  know that this is a recent addition to the chic Notthing Hill, secondly the store is so stylish that could compete with all the most fashionable stores! What I've loved the most is also the way in which they call the items..not second hand clothing bt PRE-LOVED clothing! It sound so different! The most thrilling part of shopping here is that you never know what you'll find. One day you can bump into some exceptional product that usually has a super long waiting list, into a rare piece of a limited edition!
And more that this..a percentage of the takings goes to  Naked Heart Foundation.
Don't miss this shop, and most of all be proud to give a second life to your clothes this will give you the chance to buy something new without spending other money!

SNOW IS IN THE AIR

For my second day in London I really wanted to take a tour in Portobello Road even if I knew that not every shop was open as they are during the week end. I went there by taxi but as soon I started walking I started also to freeze! The temperature was around zero but it was windy and a little snowy so I just spent there half an hour walking and shopping. I went straight to one of my favourite shops Punkyfish were I bought some tshirts and than I took another taxi to go to Brick Lane. Brick Lane is quite far from the centre and only recently has become a “place to be” in the city, some years ago this part of the city was really disreputable. Brick Lane is known for its vintage shops, were you can find almost everything, and the curry houses. In most of these shops you will just find old stuffs and as you know something that is old is not said that is also vintage! The best shop is Beyond Retro, don't miss it! The main problem was that I was literally freezing so at the end I had to resign..after lunch I took a walk in Selfridge and Harrods because it was impossible to stroll around! Luckly In these days I had the chance to try three amazing restaurants that I really want you to try as soon as you go in London.
The first one is called YAUATCHA and is in Soho, they propose a renewed chinese cuisine, a mix between chinese cuisine and novelle cuisine I would say..it was delicious! A good friend of my boyfrind and me took us there and he ordered for everybody this has given me the chance to try delicious dishes thay maybe I would have never ordered like the sweet and sour chicken paws! Unfortunately I have no pictures of the dishes because the one I did are horrible but next time I will show you everything! Forgive me but I was too concentrated on the food!
The second restaurant is the one I chose yesterday for lunch and is called Streak & Co, to tell you the truth I went there by chance..I was hungry and freezed so I just went in to the first restaurant that I found! But I’ve been lucky because I’ve eaten some succulent bbq sauce chop ribs!
The last tasty experience that I want to share with you is the one I had yesterday night at Bombay Brasserie. If you like Indian cuisine you can't miss this fashionable restaurant open since 1982 that has paved the way for all other indian restaurants in London!

Finally in London! Today since I had no more than a couple of hours for me I've decided to go to one of my favorite shops: TOPSHOP. This time I've decided to try one of the services offered in Oxford Street : the Personal Shopper. How does it work? It's easy, you just have to pick the appointment that works better for your needs from the list that you can find on topshop.com and decide when you want to go, no additional costs will be added! As soon as you arrive in the shop you just have to walk to the Personal Shopper Counter, give your name, and a very kind professional consultant will come to attend you. You will have one giant fitting room and the consultant will help you with the styling and the sizes. Not only, when you write them the email for the appointment (personalshopping@topshop.com) you can already tell your PS which kind of clothes or style you're looking for, the articles that you would like to try on that you've seen on the web site and if you're looking for something for a special occasion..you PS will prepare everything before your arrival so as soon as you will get in to the fitting room you will find all you were wishing!
Have you ever tried this service? For me it has been a great experience, it's a pity that I was alone because I can imagine ho funny could this be to do it with your best friends!
Tomorrow I will show you where I'm staying and give you some advices about this great city!
Have a great night everybody!

Eccomi finalmente a Londra! Come funziona?
Come vi siete trovate?

DOLL ME UP FOR LONDON!

Tomorrow morning I will finally be in London again for a few days to work and meet some friends. I know that sounds weird but the weather is better there than in Milan, at least it's hotter (this morning I woke up with -15 degrees...). I have great plans for London but I don't want to reveal too much. I've already started packing some outfits that I want to show you to have your opinions. At the moment I've chosen three different outfits that are a little different from what I usually wear but since I've just received some of these clothes from Zara and Asos I want to try them.
Check them out!
