After a long but relaxing flight I'm finally in Singapore. Since I've been sleeping all time on the plane now I'm awake and I start posting my first impressions. The city seems to be great, now I understand why everybody was telling me that this is the new centre of the world!

If you have to come here I can tell you that the Raffles Hotel - www.raffles.com - is one of the best hotels I've ever seen and the christmas atmosphere is so romantic! First of all try the famous Singapore Sling, the cocktail that was born in this hotel made with a combination of cherry brandy, ananas and grenadine, this cocktail was loved by Elizabeth Taylor and was invented at the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel..so it's a must!! Tonight I had dinner in one of the restaurants of the hotel, the Royal China, the food was delicious! The peking duck was served with the classic pancakes and with caviar..it sounds strange but the result is a perfect combination of flavours! Tomorrow I will take the first tour of the city and keep you posted! Now I try to sleep..again!! Have a great night everybody!

Dopo un lungo ma rilassante volo sono finalmente arrivata a Singapore. Dato che ho dormito in aereo per tutta la durata del volo ora sono sveglissima e ho deciso di iniziare a postare le mie prime impressioni. La città sembra essere eccezionale, ora capisco perché tutti continuavano a dirmi che il centro del mondo si è spostato qui!

Se dovete venire qui posso consigliarvi di scegliere il Raffles Hotel, www.raffles.com, è uno degli hotel più belli che io abbia mai visto e con l'atmosfera natalizia che si respira il tutto diventa super romantico! Prima di tutto provate il Singapore Sling, il cocktail a base di cherry bandy, granatina e ananas tanto amato da Elizabeth Taylor e dalla regina di Inghilterra che è stato inventato proprio nel Long Bar del Raffles. Stasera dato che siamo arrivati alle 20 abbiamo scelto uno dei ristoranti dell'hotel, il Royal China, la scelta si è rivelata vincente, il cibo era delizioso! Abbiamo ordinato l'anatra alla pechinese che è stata servita con i classici pancakes e un'aggiunta di caviale..abbinamento azzardato, risultato ottimo, una combinazione di sapori esplosiva!

Domani farò il primo giro per la città e vi terrò aggiornati! Ora provo a dormire..ancora!
