For one month I've been waiting for Karl by Karl Lagerfeld collection to be released. I was so curious about it, I hoped that Karl was the right person to give another meaning to the "low cost collections" (because in the end that's what it is) but I was wrong. This time KL has done everything by himself, there's not a collaboration with some giant fashion low cost seller like H&M..we're talking about something personal, maybe a little too much!

iTunes has created an iPhone application to celebrate the capsule collection that was funny..in the end I realized that "Karlified" was not just a joke, it was his purpose! Now the clones will be everywhere!!

Per un mese ho aspettato che la collezione Karl di Karl Lagerfeld fosse presentata su Net-à-Porter (che ne ha l'esclusiva). Ero curiosissima e ho sperato fino all'ultimo che con questa collezione Karl Lagerfeld avrebbe saputo mettere un meraviglioso accento positivo sulla definizione di "low cost", avrebbe saputo creare davvero un "lusso di massa".. è evidentemente un'utopia. Stiamo parlando di una collezione personale quindi niente collaborazioni con colossi come H&M..qui c'è solo Karl. E si vede. iTunes aveva creato per incrementare l'attesa un'applicazione per iPhone (la vedete qui sotto) che trovavo molto divertente ma alla fine ho realizzato che "Karlified" non era solo un gioco..era il suo intento!! Ora i cloni saranno davvero ovunque!!

I don't wanna say too much.. so let's give a look to the collection..

Non voglio dire troppo subito..guardiamo la collezione...

Dovete sapere che i prezzi della collezione vanno dai 50 ai 700 euro ed è completamente in bianco e nero.

The first item that has been immediately sold out are the fingerless black leather gloves that Karl Lagerfeld loves so much.

Il primo articolo ad andare sold out sono i guanti in pelle nera senza dita che tanto sono cari a Karl Lagerfeld, direi amici inseparabili!

Karl loves collars, everybody knows and this year collars have been presented on many catwalks (remember Miu Miu?). In the capsule collection you can find 3 different kind of collars: faux leather (please let's just call it fake! French will not make the fact that it's not real leather less important..), sequined and in printed cotton.

Karl ama i colletti, lo sanno tutti, e tra l'altro quest'anno i colletti sono stati presentati su molte passerelle (ricordate Miu Miu?). Nella capsule collection potrete trovare tre differenti tipi di colletto: pelle finta (detta anche "faux", evidentemente il francese fa sembrare il fatto che sia finta meno rilevante..), con paillettes e in cotone stampato.

What I really don't like about the collection is the use of PVC, the shoes, and the metallic silk-blend dresses..

Ciò che proprio non mi è piaciuto è l'uso del PVC (trovo che sia un materiale da bandire!!!), le scarpe e i vestiti in seta metallizzata...

The biker gilet and jackets are cool (but not new), and the shirts and jackets are classy (but always not new...)

I gilet e le giacche stile biker sono belle (ma niente di nuovo) e anche le camice e le giacche hanno stile (si, ma sempre nulla di nuovo...)

What is really ugly are the canvas shopping bags..

Ciò che davvero è tremendo sono le shopping bag in canvas...

The tshirts are funny and the price is quite good so it could be a good idea buying one (you know it's a little like buying the Hard Rock café tshirt when you eat there an hamburger.. let's call it souvenir).

Le tshirt sono divertenti e il prezzo abbastanza buono quindi può essere un'idea carina comprante una se vi piacciono (credo sia un po' come comprare la tshirt dell'Hard Rock café quando si va a mangiarci un hamburger..chiamiamolo souvenir).
